Safari Itinerary

Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your Habari Adventure representative and transferred to your hotel in Moshi/Arusha. The rest of the day is free for you to relax, prepare, and enjoy the calm atmosphere of northern Tanzania before your safari begins.

Day 1 – Tarangire National Park

Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
Drive Time: 3–4 hours
Time in the Park: 7 hours
Accommodation: Camping / Mid-range / Luxury lodge
Meals: Full board

Depart your hotel at 06:00 am and drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive baobab trees and the largest elephant population in northern Tanzania, Tarangire offers incredible scenery and wildlife viewing. Look out for lions, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and cheetahs.
At around 5:00 pm, drive to your lodge/campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Serengeti National Park (North)

Main Destination: Northern Serengeti (Mara River region)
Drive Time: 3 hours
Time in the Park: 6–8 hours
Accommodation: Camping / Mid-range / Luxury lodge
Meals: Full board

After a 7:00 am departure from your lodge, travel to the northern Serengeti, arriving around 10:00 am for a full-day game drive. This region is famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, particularly from July to October when thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the crocodile-filled Mara River. Witness dramatic predator action and vast herds grazing across open plains.
Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Serengeti North (Kogatende)

Time in the Park: Full day
Accommodation: Camping / Mid-range / Luxury lodge
Meals: Full board

Spend a full day exploring Northern Serengeti. Depending on the season, this is the best place to witness breathtaking river crossings or large herds during calving season. Enjoy diverse wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and more.

Day 4 – Serengeti Central (Seronera)

Main Destination: Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley)
Time in the Park: Full day

After breakfast, drive to the central Serengeti for another full day of game viewing. Seronera is known for high concentrations of predators and year-round wildlife. Look for rock hyraxes on kopjes, colorful agama lizards, majestic birds of prey, and hundreds of resident and migratory bird species.

Day 5 – Serengeti Central → Ngorongoro Area

Main Destination: Serengeti National Park → Ngorongoro Area
Time in the Park: 6–8 hours

After an early breakfast, enjoy a sunrise safari in the Serengeti, when wildlife is most active. Then begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Along the way, you’ll have more opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and many more species.
Arrive at your lodge by evening for dinner and rest.

Day 6 – Empakaai Crater Walking Tour

Main Destination: Empakaai Crater
Drive Time: 2–3 hours
Walking Time: 4–5 hours
Accommodation: Camping / Mid-range / Luxury lodge
Meals: Full board

Today you embark on a scenic walking tour around Empakaai Crater—an untouched, breathtaking volcanic caldera.
Empakaai is known for its deep alkaline lake, flamingos, forested crater walls, and spectacular views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, Kilimanjaro, and the Great Rift Valley.
Wildlife frequently seen here includes buffaloes, bushbuck, blue monkeys, waterbucks, bearded vultures, and other birds.
A park ranger and your guide will accompany you throughout the trek.

Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater Tour → Departure

Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
Drive Time: 45 minutes
Time in the Park: 7 hours
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater—often called the “8th Wonder of the World.”
This natural wildlife sanctuary is home to elephants, lions, black rhinos, hyenas, zebras, flamingos, giraffes (on the rim), and much more.

After your game drive, check out at the park gate and begin your journey back to Moshi/Arusha or transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
